Website Branding & Content Consulting
A website is vital for authors (and any professional really) in today’s technological world. Your website is your digital business card, your landing place for your audience, your home online. When social media platforms change and shift, your website is where your readers can always find you and all about your books.
But what if your website is attracting the wrong audience or even turning away the ideal audience? Or maybe you don’t have a website yet and you have no idea what a website would look like for you?
I’m here to help. I will walk you through the step-by-step process of figuring out how to best represent your author brand in an engaging and informative visual way where your readers will want to browse and connect with you.
Recommendation
For website design, I recommend designer Savanna Kaiser, who I have worked with on numerous projects, and is as talented as she is friendly. You will enjoy working with her as she brings your website to life!

Fortunately, Morgan did, starting with the groundwork of researching me as an author and gaining an understanding of my writing goals. Throughout the process of building my brand, she tailored everything to my specific writing style. I was very impressed with her creativity and wealth of knowledge about color swatches and font styles, something I know nothing about! The end result (updated website) is better than I could’ve imagined – I couldn’t have done this without Morgan’s outstanding help!”

Newsletter Consulting
Email is still one of the best ways to reach your audience believe it or not. Social media platforms are fickle and can change at any time, but your readers won’t lose touch with you if they can sign up for your newsletter.
Allow me to help you craft the newsletter that your readers want and help you reach out to more readers to build your platform.

“In a newsletter bind? I faced a huge learning curve—a formidable barrier—until Morgan patiently walked me through the newsletter maze! Awesome teacher with a volume of knowledge.”
–Marguerite Martin Gray, author of the Revolutionary Faith series
Cover Art Direction
We’ve all heard the saying: “don’t judge a book by its cover”—but that is exactly what we tend to do as readers. Whether browsing in a physical or online bookstore or library, our attention has to be snagged by an amazing book cover to stop us for a closer look.
And, furthermore, that book cover needs to fit the genre we expect it to fit or that snazzy book cover won’t help an author reach the right audience. Maybe you’re part of the ever-growing self-publishing world, or you’re an established author who has regained a book’s rights and want to re-release the title? Either way, I’m here to help!
Recommendation
For cover design, I recommend designer Roseanna White, who I worked with for Melanie Dobson’s Legacy of Love series project.
I also recommend Emilie Haney for book cover design.

Proofreading / Editing
Need a final polish of a manuscript? Maybe your story needs a final set of eyes on it before sending it out to an agent or editor, to self-publish, or submit to a contest? I’m here for you!
Over the years, I have provided a variety of proofreading and basic editing services for clients ranging from authors of fiction and nonfiction to academic writers and more.
Recommendation
For additional editing services (line and content, etc.), I recommend freelance editor (and multi-published author) Betsy St. Amant with StorySide, who I have very much enjoyed working with on my writing and our co-project. She is so talented and friendly!
