Some of my favorite
2020 split time fiction releases
The London Restoration by Rachel McMillan is a stunning novel centered on the restoration of both physical structures in a beautiful city ravaged by war and a marriage with both husband and wife much changed after four years apart.
I was swept up in the story from page one and didn’t want to see it end. The characters are memorable, the settings vivid and the prose lovely. A must read!
What a beautiful heartrending story!
Fragments of Light by Michele Phoenix is such a hard and wonderful emotional and physical journey. I laughed and cried. I’ll be thinking about that ending for a long time.
A beautiful portrait of how even a life so broken and bruised can find hope and new life again. Highly recommend this novel!
What a journey that spans decades!
The Last Year of the War by Susan Meissner gripped me from page one to the end and it’s not soon to let me go! The imagery was so vivid I felt I was at Elise’s shoulder the whole time. Meissner has delivered another powerhouse novel of expertly woven timelines that sheds much-needed light on a part of American history most of us do not know.
Amazing new release by Heidi Chiavaroli!! The Tea Chest is so well written and researched. I couldn’t put it down!
The past and present merged beautifully with such an intriguing connection. Heartbreaking and raw at times with such strong characters with real struggles and a beautiful conclusion how God’s grace, mercy and love profoundly affect us.
I haven’t read any of these yet. I do have The Tea Chest on kindle. I could kick myself that I didn’t get Restoration when it was $1.99 on Amazon ebook!
Too many books, too little time!
Totally!! I have so many books still to read, but I’m super glad when I can snap them up for $1-2! 🙂 I’ll keep an eye out for when Restoration goes on sale again. It’s such a great read! Thanks for commenting, Paula.
